ARMAGEDDON - THE LAST WORLD WAR - Part 1

We have been on this series for a long time. We have talked about the meaning of the word Armageddon, armageddon as an event, the Reason for God's judgement on the nations, the connection between the Great day of the Lord and Armageddon, and the State of the World prior to Armageddon. Under this segment we will look at the nations that will be involved in the battle of Armageddon, what will lead to the battle and the stages of the battle and how it will end.

1.The Nations Involved

The bible gives us information about the nations that will fight at Armageddon. The nations are divided into two. Those that would fight against Isreal and the Antichrist and those that will fight in support of Isreal and the Antichrist. 

Let's look at Daniel 11:40,44

[40]And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

[44]But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

According to Dan. chap.11 and other scriptures, towards the end of the age there will be four principal power blocks! The King of the West ( the revived Roman Empire associated to the Middle east and in agreement with the U.S.A). Next is the king of the North; Russia and the former communist satellite nations including eastern Europe. The king of the South; Egypt and other African nations,iincluding Nigeria. The king of the East - China and the orient nations. We are told in the above scriptures(verse 40) that the king of the South and the North pushes at the antichrist while in verse 44 we are told tidings out of the east troubles him so he goes forth to destroy(battle) but the only side that does not trouble him is the West because he is all of the West. The Kings of the North, South and East shall make war against the Antichrist, Isreal, the U.S and western Europe.

Ezekiel chap. 38 also gives information about the nations that fight at Armageddon. In verses 2-3, the prophet is told to prophesy again Gog( chief prince of Meshech and Tubal), the land of Magog. 'Gog' refers to the title of a leader rather the name of an individual nor a city. Magog in modern day territory would be Russia. The leader then was a figure of the type of President the nation of Russia will have towards the end. Gog then seemed to be a descendant of one of the sons of Noah; Japheth in Gen 10:2. He typed a tyrannical leader that will possess an evil thought, an evil agenda.

Verse 5 mentions Persia(Iran), Ethiopia(not necessarily modern day Ethiopia but could actually be present day Sudan) and Libya as part of the nations that come along with Russia against the Antichrist and Isreal. Verse 6 speaks of Gomer and all his bands, the house of togarmah of the north quarters and all his bands . Gomer is Eastern Turkey; Beth Togarmah is central Asia: Islamic southern Republics of the former Soviet Union - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tadzhikistan, & Kazakhstan. Ezekiel 38:13 tells us the nations that fight against Russia and its allies; Sheba and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish which are Western Europe with all the young lions - U.S.A, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It also takes in the former kingdoms of England.

2. The Reason for the Battle

Ezekiel Chapter 38:2,3 tells why God is against Gog 'a figure of the last Russian leader' and the reason is in verse 10; because so many things shall come to his mind and he shall think an 'evil thought'. We see what the evil thought is in verses 11-12.

Ezekiel 38:11-12

[11]And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

[12]To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

The book of Ezekiel helps us to understand that Russia spearheads the rebellion against the Antichrist and thus the invasion of Isreal. What are the reasons for this?

At the present, those who have the money dictate politics. It's the present world system's golden rule: He who has the gold makes the rules."

More than once Russian leaders have reminded Western leaders of this point when they felt ignored in world decisions."

Now the dominant power bloc in the third world is the oil rich Muslim nations. So it fits into Russian overall strategy to help the Muslims in order to establish leadership over them, and to form a power base from which they can build toward super power status."

I really believe there is an element of truth in the above information posted about Russia. Russia does have interest in the Middle east and seeks to help this third world countries acquire enough weapons to defend themselves against Western Countries.

US Presidential Election Outcome - What Really Happened? (A Political, Spiritual and Prophetic Analysis)

Let me start with a political analysis of this election... 

The people of the United States wanted change; more than change; something between a coup and a revolution. They took the only one on offer. They had done it the last time they had the chance. In retrospect, that was what Barack Obama's first election was about. It was to reject the elites that had brought about the financial and military and foreign policy disasters of the George W Bush years.

They expected more from the Obama years. But Obama turned out to be too conservative. He didn't go after the bankers. He didn't really go after the banks. He didn't revive the wages and benefits of lower and middle-class employment.

He tried to withdraw from the US' military entanglements. But the regions where they had been fighting didn't cooperate, and turned withdrawal into something that looked like disaster and even defeat.

When the Republicans ran the sound, safe, respectable Mitt Romney against Obama, the people knew that it was just one elite member of the establishment against another and there was nothing to make them jump to the distinctly duller, white version of the incumbent.

This election, the Democrats ran as the establishment. Hillary was the candidate of the party. She had been part of the machine for decades. She was entwined with Wall Street and big money. She had come to live and hobnob, day in and day out, with the well-connected, the super-rich, and the holders of power. To make it clear how much Hillary was the candidate of the establishment, the Republican establishment walked away from Donald Trump - never having done anything like that in living memory - some nodding towards his rival, some even openly endorsing her. Virtually every newspaper in the country, practically a definition of the establishment, endorsed Hillary, even those that historically only endorsed Republicans.

The other thing that must be reiterated, is that no one in that establishment, Democrat or Republican, had given real thought to the losers in the game of income and wealth inequality that had been being played against them for the past five decades.

If anything, the establishment was willfully blind to what was happening. The left had embraced social progressivism but somehow, in the process, had abandoned economic progressivism. The right kept pressing forwards with anti-tax, anti-redistribution, anti-government policies that had been so successful for Ronald Reagan, and then for his heirs and successors.

So the centre, on economics, moved ever further to the right. While part of the success of social progress meant the rejection and alienation of what used to be the mainstream voters, the white, working class. Again, in retrospect, it shows that even the pollsters were somehow part of the establishment. It was a signal that they too had become corrupted. Not in the sense of selling out for money, but in the sense of buying into the thought patterns and conventions of this intertwined and interwoven establishment of politics, money, military, power, and academia. Trump is, without doubt, a strange, even a terrible choice to be a defender of working people, of people of low and middle income.

There is no logical connection between his promises to them and his policies. Indeed, his policies - to the degree that they have been articulated - point in the other direction. Towards greater income inequality, towards more power for the super-rich, to greater deficits - if that is actually a real problem.

Not only did he win, he has a Republican Congress, a Republican Senate, and the opportunity to nominate at least one new member of the Supreme Court that will be friendly to his policies, who will almost certainly be accepted.

On one level it is a triumph of the will of the people over the cozy corruption of the establishment. The outcome of this election is a rebellion against the elites, what a Rebellion! 

Now, let us look it from the Spiritual and Prophetical perspective, I will quote from the writings of a spiritual father, Samson Jagboro 

"It is becoming more evident that Donald Trump's very upsetting win in the American elections could be because of the backing of Catholics and apostate Christians who voted across board for a pro-christian President. According to prophecy we are looking for a man who will use the religious element to unite America by bringing together state and church. His deeds for religion and the less fortunate will move the people. He will also for a while be able to work better with the enemies of America. He will be. wiser and friendlier. UNDERSTANDING THE EVENT ARMAGEDDON - The State of the world Prior to Armageddon (Economy, Famine and Peace Covenant) - Concluding Part

We thank God for how he has helped us so far on this series, we are coming to an end of the series of teachings on the Armageddon series. In our last article I spoke about how the European Union seems to fit the prophecy about the Revised Roman Empire, but in this article I will bring this segment of our teaching to an end by talking about the Economic state of the world, famine and the Peace covenant between Isreal and Palestine that leads us to the last seven years leading to Armageddon.

Economic State of the World

What we can see happening all over the world now is inflation. Every nation now is suffering inflation. The U.S.A is in what we call creeping inflation which could turn to hyperinflation later in the age. The day is coming when paper money will have no value at all. We are given a remarkable prophecy that a day is soon coming when there will be a new economy, a new Antichrist social order, a new political system plus a new religion.

Super computers will mastermind the economy and no one will be able to buy or sell without a mark (Rev 13:15-18). It once used to be credit cards but now it is debit cards. Eventually it will end up in a chip that will be placed in the right hand or the forehead. 

We see something interesting in the scripture below.

James 5:3,4

[3]Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. They have heaped treasure together for the last days.

[4]Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.

The above scripture tells us that the treasures of the world will be heaped together during the last days ushering in a controlling mark. The system responsible for this is none other than the Antichrist system and one of the ways they will be able to do this is by inflation. Amos 8:5-6 gives a perfect picture of our age wherein it says, That we may set forth wheat making the ephah small and the shekel great and falsifying the balances by deceit. By causing one to give lesser amount of goods for higher prices. This is exactly what the governments and international organisations like the IMF are doing through inflation. For example, we all know that one of the conditions for you to get IMF loan is to devalue your currency as we have seen in Greece, Nigeria and just last week Egypt. Meanwhile all the countries that did that, were plunged into economic recession afterwards.

The Antichrist system and his partners are taking the inflated currency and exchanging it for gold, silver, land and property, heaping up treasures for the last days (James 5). "And it was to occur during the modern age, Nahum 2:4 shows it was during the time of latest automobiles. The gold has been stacked up already in bars, they are trying to get the rest stored now; to bring forth a mark by controlling all wealth, food etc (Rev 13:11-18) The scriptures show the crafty and cunning way his system is doing this and would eventually give it over to the man of sin himself. Isaiah 10:12-16 speaks of our day exactly. Daniel saw his 'stout heart and high looks' - He says " I have robbed(partly by inflation) their treasures, he took the riches of the people like you would gather eggs and no one even lifted a finger to stop him.

There would be two economic convulsions towards the end. One just before and in association with the rise of the Antichrist and then again at the end of his rule at Armageddon when people will throw their money into the streets(Ezekiel 7:19).

Ezekiel 7:19

[19]They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the LORD: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

We will have severe inflation near the Tribulation, but the worst type of galloping inflation will take place in Rev 6:5-6; 'Depression-inflation'. It will become so bad it will require a full day's wage to buy 2 loaves of bread. Let end on the economic state of the world with this statement Of a member of one the founding families of the Illuminati, Amschel Rothschild " Give me control over a nation's economy and I don't care who writes the laws."

Famine

The famine sign was to appear in intensity just before the return of Jesus Christ; this has been on the increase and will definitely grow worse. The apocalyptic horse of death will appear in the next future. Starvation will haunt many parts of the earth (Rev6:5-8). 

Revelation 6:5-8

[5]And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

[6]And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

[7]And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

[8]And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Things may not look like this for a while, but later famine will affect Russia, China, India and parts of Europe as it is already affecting Africa and some of the Middle east areas, Asia and other places will be included. More will come in the future including a world food shortage is coming later in our age. 

Jesus forewarned of the terrible conditions that would be just before and during the Great tribulation. Matt 24:3 "What shall be the sign of thy coming, and the end of the world? Famine is one of the things indicated! It is one of the scourges of God and it is sent to warn men of their sins, also of coming judgement.

Famines are usually the results of droughts and severe weather and so as the age ends, in various places there will be a great shortage of water! The prophet Joel said that the rivers would dry up and cattle would die for the lack thereof (Joel 1:17-20). As the cattle dies, the food shortage gets even more severe. Something has occurred because the seeds are not even growing in the ground. According to Joel 2:3-5 this is associated near, and followed by, the Atomic flame! In fact during the great tribulation there will be no rain for 42 months(Rev 11:6), coupled to this the black horse of depression and famine appears.

Peace Convenant

Isreal has had to face many threats from neighbouring nations since it reclaimed the old city of Jerusalem in 1948. The very existence of Isreal as a nation has been under threat since time in memorial. This is not far fetched and dates back to the story in Genesis. Abraham had two sons Ishmael and Isaac. The Arabs are descendants of Ishmael while Isreal is the descendant of Isaac. Isaac was the promised seed and so was the one God gave the land of the Canaan to. The Arab nations instigated four major wars against the Isrealites. The Isreal-Palestine war in 1948, the Sonar war in 1954, the war in 1967 and the Yom Kippur war in 1978 but to the glory of God, Isreal has come out victorious in all. 

The Antichrist will make a peace Convenant with Isreal for seven years to guarantee its safety (Dan 9:27 - Dan 11:30). Then in the middle of these seven years, he will break the Convenant and desecrate the temple which would have been restored. The Convenant spoke about is the Abrahamic Convenant (Dan 9:27), 

Daniel 9:27

[27]And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

As we can see, he confirms the land to them and makes a truce and provides protection, they receive him as a messiah. But after 3and a half years, he will break his agreement. The bible calls it the Convenant with death(Isaiah 28:18),

Isaiah 28:18

[18]And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.

Isreal is in an agreement with Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria. The only nation that Isreal has not signed an agreement with is Palestine. The Palestines want to share Jerusalem as their capital but the Israelites believe Jerusalem belongs to only them. This is one of the reason for the Isreal-Palestine Conflict. The Antichrist will come to confirm the land with Isreal and guarantee them protection. This agreement is of great importance to us because it will lead to to the last seven years that will lead to the last world war - Armageddon!
